GTEC DONATES 3 LAND CRUISER PRADOS AND 1 TOYOTA HIACE VAN
In a bid to enhance the operations and mobility of various Colleges of Education, the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has made a notable donation of three Land Cruiser Prados and one Toyota Hiace van to four educational institutions.
The Land Cruiser Prado beneficiaries include:
- Atebubu College of Education
- Akatsi College of Education
- Gbewaa College of Education
In addition to the Land Cruiser, Akatsi College of Education received a Toyota Hiace van. This donation is part of GTEC’s commitment to support the logistical needs of tertiary institutions, particularly those involved in teacher training.
At a formal ceremony, the Governing Council Chairmen and Principals of the respective Colleges received the vehicles on behalf of their institutions. The presentation was a significant milestone in addressing transportation needs and ensuring that these colleges have the resources necessary to carry out their activities effectively.
The Director-General of GTEC, in his remarks, noted that this donation is part of a larger plan. He assured that additional vehicles will be procured in the near future to benefit other College Principals across the country, further strengthening their capacity to deliver quality education.
This gesture by GTEC is expected to improve the colleges’ administrative and academic efficiency, as the vehicles will assist in the transportation of Principal, in particular, and staff, materials, and students for various educational purposes
